该种的主要特征是菌褶离生，白色；菌盖表面具橘黄至黄褐色的鳞片；担孢子椭圆形；褶缘囊状体窄棒状或近梭形；菌盖表面鳞片由平伏的菌丝组成，末端细胞无明显分化。
该物种原属于白环蘑属，2024年被转移到白鬼伞属。
